Overview This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for a Federal Programs NAVFAC Project Director with the potential to work out of our office in Tacoma, WA or Seattle, WA . In this position, you will be involved in projects with our Federal Programs Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients’ objectives and solves their challenges. The Federal Programs NAVFAC Project Director will primarily focus on executing AE services under Federal contracts, but also on growing the Federal Team’s NAVFAC Program primarily in the Northwest U.S., but also Southwest U.S. and Pacific regions, as well as potential other regional Federal Client Programs. Your Impact Ensures adherence to Safety, Health, Environment, & Quality (SHEQ) requirements for all projects in their portfolio and aligned PMs. Works with WSP Federal Programs District Lead for Business Plan Forecast, ensuring that Project ETCs are forecasted accurate. Ensures compliance with all Quality policies, procedures, protocols and work instructions and appropriate use of all mandated project tools. Reviews and approves proposal/project contract documents, risk and pricing. Drives the delivery of budgeted Net Revenue for a portfolio of projects and aligned PMs. Enhances Net Revenue results through focus on change management, cash management and delivery of high-quality, value-added services to our clients. Reviews and approves Project Risk Register/Mitigation Plan, Project Execution Plan and the Project Quality Plan. Conducts Monthly Project Reviews on all projects and publishes the project review report with critical issues and actions. Attends internal WSP Administrative Project Reviews as required to discuss projects within their portfolio meeting the Administrative Project Review thresholds. Reviews accuracy of Project Estimate at Completion and addresses variances or issues with PMs. Monitors accounts receivable (AR) and unbilled revenue and works with PMs to address issues as needed. Ensures adherence to the Contracts Quality Plan including client expectations, client satisfaction reviews, and checks of deliverables and audits of the QC process. Ensures PMs work with Operational/Group/Design Leaders for assignment of appropriate staff to projects. Manages, coaches and provides skill and career development for aligned PMs. Provides technical guidance and expertise to lead teams for groups of projects or programs. Provides resource loading and oversees talent engagement of aligned PMs. Supports career development of PMs through the WSP Project Manager Training tools. Guides multi-discipline teams in making informed technical decisions. Fosters innovation and technical excellence of teams. Negotiates with vendors and prices with stakeholders. Who You Are Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Planning, Architecture or related degree. Minimum 15 years of successful experience proposing on, negotiating fee proposals, and delivering Architectural & Engineering (AE) planning, design, and AE construction-phase oversight services on projects under U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) IDIQ contracts (more favorable if such experience is for NAVFAC IDIQs). 7 years' experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering/architectural teams. Professional registration US licensed Architect or Engineer. Ability to obtain a US Government issued Secret level Security Clearance. Your Role Your Role as a Principal Solution Engineer: Partner with enterprise customers to understand strategic business challenges and recommend impactful solutions using the Freshworks platform. Lead discovery workshops, shape customer requirements, and influence deal strategy to drive technical wins. Deliver compelling and customized product demonstrations aligned to industry use cases, ROI models, and value storytelling. Collaborate with AEs, product teams, and solution architects to shape scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions. Contribute to competitive strategies, offer technical insights, and mentor junior team members. Translate complex customer needs into clear solution architectures, including integrations, APIs, and security considerations. Champion technical excellence and industry best practices through presentations, internal enablement, and customer engagements. Qualifications 10 years of experience in Solution Engineering, preferably in SaaS and enterprise software. Established playbook on using AI to present better, operationalize projects faster, and articulate value clearly. Understanding of LLMs and ability to guide customers, team members, and products on foundational AI principles. Strong understanding of ITSM/ESM domains; familiarity with platforms such as ServiceNow, Halo, Jira, or similar. Comfortable operating independently in high-stakes, complex enterprise scenarios; able to lead strategy, technical discovery, and deal execution without daily oversight. Deep knowledge of APIs, webhooks, integrations, and infrastructure components; able to propose and explain solutions without needing additional support. Coaching and mentoring peers; committed to team development and cross-functional collaboration. Adept at aligning customer needs with Freshworks’ platform capabilities, identifying gaps, and driving innovation with internal teams. Confident and engaging communicator with experience influencing C-level stakeholders and diverse technical audiences. Strong time management skills; capable of owning multiple deals and workstreams concurrently. Experience leading complex solution design involving custom apps, third-party integrations, and platform architecture. Demonstrated leadership in internal initiatives or representing the company at industry events. Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
