Head of Sales- Hydroelectric (Charlotte)
DSJ Global is partnering with a leading hydropower technology and services organization to appoint a Head of Sales to lead commercial strategy and drive growth across the United States and Canada. This executive leadership role is responsible for developing and executing the regional sales strategy across the full hydropower portfolio-including new equipment, modernization, rehabilitation, service, digital solutions, and long-term customer partnerships. The successful candidate will oversee a team focused on expanding market share, deepening customer relationships, and securing complex, long-cycle projects across utilities, independent power producers, and industrial customers. What You\'ll Own You will lead the regional commercial organization responsible for identifying, pursuing, and winning opportunities across: New hydropower equipment and capital projects Turbines, generators, pump-turbines, and associated plant equipment Modernizations, uprates, efficiency improvements, and life-extension programs Rehabilitation, refurbishment, and overhaul projects Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSAs) and lifecycle partnerships Plant assessments, condition monitoring, and digital solutions Aftermarket services, replacement components, and outage support Opportunities associated with pumped storage and renewable energy infrastructure development Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the regional sales and business development strategy to achieve profitable growth across the hydropower portfolio Lead all commercial activities related to new equipment, modernization projects, service offerings, and lifecycle solutions Build and strengthen executive-level relationships with utilities, asset owners, developers, EPC contractors, engineering consultants, and strategic partners Drive market intelligence efforts to identify growth opportunities, competitive positioning, and emerging customer needs Own pipeline development, forecasting, KPI management, and commercial performance across the region Partner closely with engineering, tendering, project execution, and operations teams to develop compelling technical and commercial solutions Guide complex proposal efforts involving multi-disciplinary teams, long sales cycles, and sophisticated contractual structures Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing sales, business development, and key account management organization Champion strategic account planning and customer engagement across the installed base while expanding relationships into new markets and opportunities Navigate commercial risk and contract negotiations associated with large-scale infrastructure and energy projects What We\'re Looking For 10 years of progressive sales, business development, or commercial leadership experience within hydropower, power generation, renewable energy, industrial equipment, or related infrastructure sectors Demonstrated success leading teams responsible for complex, consultative sales environments with long project cycles and high-value contracts Experience selling capital equipment, engineered systems, aftermarket services, lifecycle solutions, or large project-based offerings Strong understanding of utility customers, power generation assets, or industrial infrastructure markets Ability to operate effectively in highly customized environments where solutions are engineered rather than transactional Proven track record of managing executive customer relationships and negotiating complex commercial agreements Strategic mindset with experience developing go-to-market plans, building commercial organizations, and driving sustainable growth Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and align teams around customer outcomes DSJ Global is partnering with a leading hydropower technology and services organization to appoint a Head of Sales to lead commercial strategy and drive growth across the United States and Canada.
