RESPONSIBILITIES: Database Operations & Maintenance Coordinate with the Azure Cloud Architect SME to implement and maintain the operational aspects of CSM databases. Manage and execute updates, storage configurations, security protocols, and troubleshooting for Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Database. Monitor and optimize operational resources to ensure consistent database health and performance. Performance & Optimization Augment query performance through systematic monitoring and tuning. Optimize operational resources as needed to support application efficiency and minimize latency. Resilience & Continuity Design and maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments for all database resources to ensure mission continuity. Implement redundant database architectures that align with organizational uptime requirements. Data Security & Integrity Secure and store CSM data within relational databases to meet strict organizational and security requirements. Ensure all data storage solutions are compliant with CSM needs and federal security standards. QUALIFICATIONS: Basic: ● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. ● Experience: 2–4 years of cloud engineering experience with a focus on database management. ● Technical Skills: ○ Proficiency in database management, security, and troubleshooting for MS SQL and Azure SQL. ○ Experience designing redundant and highly available database architectures. ○ Strong skills in data aggregation and database development. ○ Familiarity with CI/CD and DevSecOps toolchains. ● Certification: Security certification. ● Security Clearance: U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance Preferred: ● Active DoD Top Secret clearance. ● Cloud-specific certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Associate). ● Certification: Active Security certification. ● Experience implementing DISA STIG configurations for databases. ● Knowledge of DoD SRG and NIST SP 800-53 security controls.
