Primary Responsibilities Participate in the planning phase of projects to incorporate the most efficient, safe, and economical formwork systems into the design Prepare structural formwork calculations Perform structural quality control walks to ensure installed design meets criteria Prepare concrete structure and formwork drawings by incorporating information from project drawings, bulletins, sketches, RFIs, and other trade shop drawings, and coordinate submittals with customers Review and analyze project documents to identify conflicts, missing information, and specification gaps; suggest solutions to improve productivity and cost efficiency Coordinate with field supervisors to plan and oversee material and equipment needs, including ordering, inventory control, and transportation, to ensure availability and efficient use on projects Attend project meetings to resolve technical issues and track project progression Review bulletins and change orders to identify, quantify, and incorporate changes into project drawings; notify project management of cost impacts Ensure timely delivery of up-to-date drawings and instructions to job sites Maintain and update logs for RFIs, product submittals, and drawings; manage storage of shop drawings and contract documents Support operational safety goals by identifying and communicating potential hazards during the detailing stage. Perform special projects and other duties as assigned to support organizational goals Develops and maintains customer relationships to enhance company’s ability to procure projects Minimum Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or relevant area of education and/or equivalent combination of education and experience Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification Strong mathematical and visualization skills Ability to read and understand drawings Completed coursework in computer-aided drafting/building information Proficiency in Microsoft Suite – Excel, Word, Outlook Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks, with an emphasis on thoroughness, attention to detail, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
