Job Description Overview Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) Daytime Admissions Role Employment Type: Full-Time Organization: Central Maine Healthcare Location: Lewiston, Maine Position Overview Central Maine Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our inpatient team in a daytime admissions-focused role. The APP will focus on new patient admissions, ensuring timely, high-quality evaluations and seamless coordination of care. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive history and physicals for new admissions Perform detailed clinical assessments and develop care plans Collaborate closely with attending physicians and hospitalists Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests Document all encounters accurately in the EMR Coordinate care with nursing, case management, and ancillary services Assist with care transitions and discharge planning as appropriate Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program Previous experience as an NP or PA Active or eligible for Maine licensure Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Employment Status Full Time Shift Days Equal Employment Opportunity Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
