Pay: $59 to $65 per hour Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position Location: Dickinson, North Dakota Start Date: 03-15-2026 End Date: 06-14-2026 Contract Type: Travel Contract Shift Type: Night shifts, 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; rotating nights with weekends and holidays as needed (NOC). Nights are primary; schedule is set by director and includes floating to Med/Surg or ER for 1:1 as needed. Roles & Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate ICU nursing care for critically ill adults and pediatric patients Monitor and interpret telemetry strips and cardiac rhythms to detect changes early Manage ventilator support and troubleshoot respiratory equipment as needed Titrate vasoactive drips and other infusions safely according to patient needs and protocols Care for patients with arterial lines and CVP monitoring, ensuring accurate assessments Collaborate with the ER (which oversees ICU operations) and float as required to support patient flow Document care thoroughly in MEDITECH and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team Coach and support colleagues to promote safe practice and strong teamwork on the unit Qualifications Current RN license in good standing (ND licensure or compact eligibility preferred) Required certifications: BLS and ACLS; NIHSS and PALS required; TNCC / TCAR or demonstrated trauma experience Minimum ~1 year of ICU or critical care experience preferred Comfort and competence with ventilator management, titrating drips, and arterial/CVP monitoring Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and float to MS/ER as needed Strong clinical judgment, coachability, and teamwork mindset Education Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred but not required Completion of unit-specific orientation (3 × 12-hour shifts) and hospital onboarding Knowledge & Skills Critical care and ICU nursing fundamentals Ventilator management from nasal cannula up to full ventilator support Telemetry interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition Safe titration of vasoactive and other drips Experience with MEDITECH charting and acute care documentation Trauma patient care principles and familiarity with TNCC/TCAR practices Patient assessment, prioritization, and effective interdisciplinary communication Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental & vision coverage to keep you healthy and smiling Paid Time Off so you can recharge and come back your best Licensure assistance & reimbursement to help you stay current Professional development and continuing education support A supportive team environment where collaboration and respect matter Life insurance and basic protection for peace of mind Referral bonus program — bring great teammates and be rewarded Flexible scheduling considerations and predictable 12-hour shifts Travel Perks: Explore Dickinson, North Dakota Explore the wide-open beauty of western North Dakota while on assignment.
