Executive Director, Development and Offshore Team
Panda Express seeks a full-time Executive Director, Development and Offshore Team to work at its office in Rosemead, CA. Candidate must have a Master’s in Information Technology or Computer Science, plus 60 months of experience as an Engineering Manager, Technical Director, or Technical Architect. Candidate’s duties will include: Responsible for leading the offshore team and the software engineering team for the US Facilitates both technical and people leadership at all levels, including the development of the overall strategy, leadership team development, technical capabilities elevation, and the management of the overall workstreams Provides IT solutions for the business while balancing budget, costs and revenue generating responsibilities Serves as the strategic partner to various business partners to align IT solutions with business requirements Architects and manages distributed systems supporting more than one million daily transactions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency Designs and integrates AI and large-language-model (LLM) frameworks or similar automation technologies to improve analytics and operational efficiency Drive enterprise-level cloud and platform strategies across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud environments to support scalability and resiliency Establish engineering KPIs, manage budgets and vendor contracts, and mentor senior engineers and team leads to ensure excellence, innovation, and accountability across global teams Candidate must have Google Cloud Fundamentals and Core Infrastructure Certifications, as well as 60 months of experience using AWS, JAVA, MYSQL, Distributed-System Design, CI/CD, Git, and Agile Methodologies; 24 months of experience using Javascript, C#. NET, SQL Server, MongoDB, and Google Cloud; and 12 months of experience using large language model, including Langchain. Domestic travel within the United States is required at least once per year to attend professional conferences, with each trip lasting approximately 7 days. International travel to Asia (e.g., China), is required at least once per year to meet with vendors, with each trip lasting up to 30 days. Salary: $237,141 – $247,141/year, plus benefits.
