Vacation days = 3 weeks and add a day a year max at 5 weeks Holidays per year 11 days Job Details We are actively seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Manufacturing, Technology, and Engineering (MTE) Team. In this pivotal role, you will provide high-level engineering support and leadership for high-voltage electrical drives and large AC/DC motors utilized across our rolling network. You will work autonomously in one of our locations in either Davenport, IA, Lancaster, PA, or Alcoa, TN, while contributing to the continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes. This role involves not only troubleshooting and upgrading equipment but also supporting maintenance, operations, and engineering teams in various production areas throughout our facilities. You will be responsible for enhancing equipment reliability and implementing best practices for electrical safety programs and project management. This position also requires occasional travel to support global initiatives. Responsibilities: Provide engineering support and leadership for the maintenance and troubleshooting of high-voltage electrical drives and large AC/DC motors across our manufacturing network. Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to deliver technical solutions for recurring design, process, and application challenges. Develop and deliver engineering training and documentation to ensure best practices are upheld in electrical safety and maintenance procedures. Actively manage and oversee electrical engineering projects, from design through installation and commissioning, ensuring timely completion within budget. Foster a culture of safety by facilitating discussions on safe work practices and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and procedures. Coordinate with external vendors to manage electrical design and support functions effectively. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution. 5 years of electrical engineering experience in a metals or heavy manufacturing environment. Proven experience with large AC/DC motors, automation, process control systems, drives, and PLCs. Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, industry safety standards, and related codes and specifications.
