The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the legal field, with a particular focus on business and commercial litigation. The role requires a high degree of professionalism, the ability to handle confidential information with discretion, and a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation matters, including pleadings, discovery, trial, and appeal. Conduct legal research, factual investigation, and document analysis. Prepare legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, agreements, contracts, and legal memoranda. Coordinate and manage the collection, review, and production of documents. Assist with deposition preparation, including the preparation of witness files and deposition outlines. Assist in trial preparation, including the creation of trial exhibits, witness binders, and trial notebooks. Liaise with clients, court personnel, experts, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders. Manage and organize large case files and databases. Monitor deadlines and juggle multiple tasks and cases simultaneously. Perform administrative duties such as filing papers, answering telephone calls, and maintaining and organizing files. Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a focus on commercial litigation. Paralegal certification is preferred. Proficiency in legal research software such as Westlaw or LexisNexis. Strong knowledge of the litigation process, legal terminology, court rules, and procedures. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with e-discovery platforms and case management software. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise a high standard of judgment and discretion.
