Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pipe Layer to join our Heavy Highway Construction team, focusing on projects involving City and State-owned roadways. The ideal candidate will contribute to critical infrastructure work by performing trench excavation, utility installation, and pipe placement with precision and attention to detail. Responsibilities: Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety, first in everything we do. Report all accidents, incidents, and near-misses, supporting our Number One Core Value – Safety First. Excavate trenches using manual tools or trenching equipment to locate utilities. Measure, cut, fit, and install drainage, sewer, water lines, and related components. Fine-grade trench bottoms and manually place and compact pipe bedding to ensure proper elevations. Construct and finish sewer or drain manholes, including precise concrete work for inverts. Set up pipe lasers, follow layouts, and execute tasks as directed by Supervisors. Effectively coordinate with equipment operators and team members to ensure work progresses efficiently. Perform ancillary tasks and support other crafts as needed. Qualifications: 2-5 years of hands-on experience in Heavy/Civil Construction. Physical stamina to perform strenuous tasks, including bending, pushing, pulling, and working in varied weather conditions. Proven ability to follow verbal instructions with accuracy.
