ChildNet Youth and Family Services is currently seeking a Clinician for our Behavioral Health Services (BHS) Program located in Palm Desert, CA. Inland Empire Behavioral Health Services (BHS) provides comprehensive services including individual/group therapy for at-risk children and their families. The Clinician will be responsible for a caseload of twelve to sixteen clients, depending on the client's needs and level of impairment. This position will provide individual/group therapy and case management to at-risk children and their families. The Clinician will also collaborate with client's caregivers, biological parents, teachers, etc. to maintain an interdisciplinary team approach for treatment purposes. Example Job Responsibilities: Provide direct supervision of all clients assigned to the caseload and maintain a caseload of 12 to 16 clients, depending on the client's needs and level of impairment. Provide comprehensive services including individual/family therapy, collaterals, rehab sessions, and case management services as needed in the home, school and/or office environment. Collaborate with client's caregivers, biological parents, CSWs, other community agencies, social workers, teachers, medical doctors, psychiatrists, law enforcement, Probation department, and case managers for an interdisciplinary team approach. This individual should be competent to perform other cardiopulmonary procedures (i.e. EKGs, etc.) and should assist in performing these procedures, as needed. This person will use communication and available resources to promote quality and cost-efficient patient care. Responsibilities: • Provides physical and developmental age appropriate care for all age groups ranging from neonate to adults with or without congenital defects • This includes implementation of safety measures and selection of appropriate equipment and supplies depending on the physical and developmental age • Must be able to learn and adapt to a verity of echo equipment, software, and protocols Requirements: A.D., or higher, in Respiratory Therapy, Cardiopulmonary Science, or other related field. Minimum of 2 years hands-on training and has attended at least one formal training seminar (i.e. Owen Brown) for echocardiography. ARDS or CCI Echo Credential required.
