Requirements Proven mechanic experience with dealership or automotive repair shop background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and schematics for accurate troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with auto body repair, welding, wheel alignment, tire service, shocks & struts replacement, and auto estimating is a plus. Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive maintenance tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of GM vehicles or similar makes is advantageous but not required. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, must be certified by the State of Michigan . Certified ASE certifications or equivalent are preferred but not mandatory.
