The Role The AMD Law Department is seeking a Director of Patent Litigation to support and manage the company's defensive patent litigation team. This role will report to the Sr. Director of Intellectual Property and focus on U.S. and international disputes, including district court litigation, ITC proceedings, and related actions. The Director will lead the patent litigation team and work closely with other internal teams and outside counsel to assess risk, develop litigation strategies, and manage ongoing matters in alignment with AMD's business objectives. Coordinate internal technical reviews and partner with IP and engineering teams to support defense strategies. Contribute to development of litigation processes, best practices, and internal readiness. Participate in and sometimes lead settlement negotiations to resolve matters, when appropriate. Preferred Experience Experience in semiconductor patent litigation, including managing or supporting cases in the Western District of Texas (W.D. Tex.), Eastern District of Texas (E.D. Education Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field and ten (10) years of relevant municipal or utility financial management experience, at least five (5) of which were in a managerial or executive capacity.
