Description Summary The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse functions to support production, shipping, and receiving operations while ensuring compliance with all food safety and quality standards under SQF/BRC. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safe practices and supporting the team's overall operational goals. Key Responsibilities Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all food safety/quality requirements under SQF/BRC. Key Responsibilities Lead and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities with a focus on accuracy and timeliness Own complex accounting areas including inventory, accruals, intercompany transactions, and balance sheet reconciliations Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and detailed supporting schedules Prepare monthly financial statement packages and supporting documentation for Corporate Controller review Ensure general ledger accuracy across multiple legal entities and manufacturing locations Research, document, and apply U.S. GAAP guidance to technical accounting matters Support debt covenant calculations and reporting requirements Maintain and improve internal control procedures across all accounting cycles Prepare audit-ready documentation and serve as a primary contact for external auditors for assigned areas Support working capital reporting through accurate inventory, accrual, payables, and receivables accounting Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen close, reconciliation, and documentation procedures while creating efficiency Support financial due diligence and accounting integration activities related to acquisitions, as needed Knowledge, Skills & Experience Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting knowledge Experience operating in a public, multi-entity and/or private equity-backed environment preferred Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas) Experience working within ERP systems; exposure to Deacom and/or SAP Business One preferred Demonstrated experience in manufacturing accounting, including inventory and cost accounting Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills Comfortable operating independently within established systems and processes Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required 7-12 years of progressive accounting experience Prior experience in public accounting Manufacturing or inventory-intensive industry experience in an accounting manager role Experience supporting financial statement audits and technical accounting matters CPA preferred but not required Required Preferred Job Industries Warehouse & Production
