Vascular Surgery PCU - Clinical RN (Day Shift)

Additional Information About the Role Our nursing staff provides pre- and post-operative care to the wide variety of interventions needed for peripheral vascular disease patients. Surgical services include endoluminal and open repair of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, thoracic outlet decompression, carotid artery angioplasty and stenting, carotid endarterectomies, dialysis access (fistulas and grafts), catheter-directed thrombolysis, and various bypasses and stents for aorto-iliac and lower extremity occlusive disease and upper extremity occlusive disease. Division 7500/75PCU is a fast paced Cardiovascular Surgery division made up of 25 beds with a mix of step down and pcu beds. We care for a variety of complex cardiovascular surgery patients including aortic and abdominal aneurysms, thoracic outlet syndrome, carotid artery disease, aorto-iliac and lower extremity occlusive disease, peripheral vascular disease, arrhythmia surgery, endoscopic coronary artery revascularization, valve repair and many more. The Staff Nurse (RN) is an integral part of the patient care team using critical thinking skills and clinical expertise to continually assess the patients'; status. The Staff Nurse (RN) is trained in critical care and will be certified in BLS, ACLS, ACUTE CARE, arterial line monitoring, and pacer wires.
