PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION Performs day-to-day housekeeping activities primarily in patient/visitor/employee occupied areas. Assures facility is maintained in neat, clean and safe manner. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Duty 1: Delivers a clean environment by performing the seven step cleaning method throughout the BVHA’s facilities. Areas would include but not limited to: patient rooms / patient care areas, surgical suites, offices, and public / common areas. Does this in compliance with Joint Commission Standards, Federal, State, and Local Regulatory, Infection Control, and EVS policies / procedures. Duty 2 : Responsible to clean and sanitize floors, medical equipment, and bed frames according to established procedures. May perform special projects as directed (wall washings, hanging cubicle curtains, window washing) Duty 3: Operates various mechanized cleaning equipment i.e. Kivac portable J-closet, and commercial vacuum cleaners. Responsible to report any needed repairs immediately to Service Response Center (SRC). Duty 4: Handles clean and soiled linens retrieving and disposing of in designated locations. Duty 5: Responsible for disposal of trash, waste, and other disposable materials using standard procedures. PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION The Attendant will be responsible for assisting the clinic staff with the daily operations of the department such as: transportation and care of patients to and from the department, assisting patients and staff with scheduling, pulling information, and communicating pertinent information. This contract works for an agency that operates approximately 285 desktop/laptops, a mix of 90 physical and virtual Linux servers (i.e., development, testing, and production environments), 25 physical and virtual Windows servers, storage devices, and a mix of network devices. The agency operates a Linux server farm located in the cloud in AWS and hosts more than 60 scientific, oceanographic, and geospatial applications, which provide real-time scientific, oceanographic, and geospatial information to warn of pending storms and storm surge and support marine navigation. In addition, a real-time Continuity of Operations (COOP) infrastructure is located in the cloud via AWS, with the capacity for providing a rolling three days of real-time data without a database structure, and the potential of becoming a hot or warm site.
