Work closely with Human Resources on employee matters including terminations, drafting of employment-related policies, procedures interviews, and regulatory compliance requirements. Handle all employment litigation including the review of pleadings and discovery responses. Participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials General Liability Matters: Manage third party litigation involving the Company. Work closely with and monitor retained outside counsel on all aspects of litigation. Experience and Educational Background Description: Admitted to practice law in the State of Texas (required); licensed to practice law in New Jersey is preferred. Five to ten years of experience in a corporate environment and/or law firm setting. Experience in and strong knowledge of state and federal employment law. Experience with reviewing oil, gas, and energy contracts. Experience in corporate compliance. Experience in basic corporate governance. Experience in risk management and corporate insurance coverage.
