It partners cross-functionally to manage compliance requirements, strengthen controls, and enable risk-based oversight through effective monitoring, data, and reporting. The Compliance Insights team provides strategic, comprehensive data analysis, reporting, and data-driven insights that support Electric compliance, investigations, and risk management. Position Summary: The Electric NERC Compliance Consultant, Principal core function is to lead the compliance and/or risk management framework & tools that enable the organization and employees to conduct business in compliance with NERC applicable standards, laws & regulations, and/or to identify, manage, and mitigate operational risk. The Electric NERC Compliance Consultant, Principal will lead collaboration with Electric Engineering, Asset management and Planning, and Electric Operations business units and the Enterprise NERC Compliance Office to guide mitigation planning, shaping risk-based decisions, aligning cross-functional partners, and influencing policy and regulatory strategy across WECC, FERC and CAISO. The selected candidate must live within PG&E’s service territory and will be expected to work in the office 2-3 days/week. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ A reasonable salary range is:​ Bay Area Minimum: $​136,000.00 Bay Area Maximum: $​232,000.00 California Minimum: $​129,000.00 California Maximum: $220,000.00 Responsibilities: Anticipates issues and develops innovative solutions to enhance controls and mitigate risks. Anticipates changes in the regulatory environment or other developments which may impact compliance or risk management and takes action to prepare the organization. Acts as consultant to internal and/or external groups in order to benchmark company performance and promote knowledge of compliance and risk management best practices. Challenges business decisions and present risk mitigation alternatives, as appropriate. Updates senior leadership on status of compliance / risk management programs and partners with leaders across the organization to strengthen organization-wide effectiveness. Participates in risk management forums at the enterprise level. May act as team lead but does not have any direct reports. Leads ongoing mitigation plans filed with the Regional Entity (Western Electric Coordinating Council [WECC]); leads Partnership with Electric Engineering and asset management business units on the development of mitigation plans. Partners with controls verification team on development and implementation of test plans, incorporating any findings into improvements in NERC compliance; identifies opportunities for new internal controls; helps build additional internal controls. Leads investigations into compliance issues with NERCwith a focus on O&P standard family; leads development of compliance narratives and RSAW documentation; leads WECC/FERC audits; provides input into FERC/NERC policy as it pertains to development of new and/or revised NERC Reliability Standards. Develops and leads compelling data-driven business cases for or against specific courses of action and potential risk mitigation alternatives as appropriate; provides strategic direction regarding areas of NERC compliance in common with CPUC, OEIS, and CAISO. Leads annual gap analysis; identifies gaps between compliance requirements and guidance documentation. Develops, monitors, analyzes, and reports on business KPIs and indicators, that may affect the Company’s ability to meet its goals. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 10 years of relevant experience Primarily office environment with extensive use of computers and numerous phone calls, conference calls, and in-person meetings. Position Summary The CET team is looking for a seasoned Program Manager to lead our Residential EV Charging program. The main goal of the program is to make it easier for income-qualified customers to charge their EVs at home through incentives for panel upgrades and circuit extensions. Additionally, the program aims to provide pathways for customers to install EV charging at their homes while avoiding the need for electrical upgrades. The program connects customers to a list of qualified Trade Allies and provides rebates directly to those partners to allow for a reduction in out-of-pocket costs for the customer upon installation. The successful candidate will also ensure that the key objectives of PG&E’s residential electrification customer experience are integrated into the design and execution of this program. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of the program development and implementation, including developing workflows, creating timelines, managing budgets, tracking metrics and progress toward program goals Engage and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders Manage contracts to meet goals and stay on budget Handle regulatory compliance and reporting, including regulatory reporting to the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) or the California Air Resources Board (CARB) Make recommendations and develop processes to ensure a positive customer experience The ideal candidate has a strong background in program and project management within regulated environments (e.g. CPUC, CARB), excels at problem solving, and can communicate complex technical information effectively to diverse audiences. As this program focuses on overcoming barriers to EV adoption, the candidate should be eager to tackle undefined challenges, collaborate effectively, and apply curiosity and data driven methods to program development. Experience with transportation electrification, electric vehicles, EVSE installation and construction projects is highly preferred. Position Summary CET’s Strategy and Policy (S&P) team creates, tests, and advocates for evidence-based clean energy transportation solutions by spearheading pilot projects, policy frameworks, tailored customer offerings, and stakeholder engagement. Our team develops, iterates, and executes on PG&E’s strategy to connect 3 million electric vehicles (EV) to the grid by 2030 and enabling at least 550 MW of flexible load from VGI applications. CET leads a ~$0.5B portfolio of transportation electrification (TE) programs to increase the adoption of clean vehicles in California as we work to address one of the largest contributors to climate change – and we need a motivated, organized strategic thinker to help us determine how to expand this portfolio. We serve PG&E’s customers by deploying electric vehicle programs to increase access to charging infrastructure and reduce total cost of electric vehicle ownership, educating our customers and pursuing innovative R&D on the future of transportation electrification, focused on vehicle-grid-integration (VGI). Position Summary CET’s Strategy and Policy (S&P) team creates, tests, and advocates for evidence-based clean energy transportation solutions by spearheading pilot projects, policy frameworks, tailored customer offerings, and stakeholder engagement. Our team develops, iterates, and executes on PG&E’s strategy to connect 3 million electric vehicles (EV) to the grid by 2030 and enabling at least 550 MW of flexible load from VGI applications. To do this, the team is focused on the following five pillars below: Build : reimagining how we build the transmission and distribution grid to enable mass EV adoption, Deploy: strategizing how we can enable and deploy VGI at scale, Invest: identifying how we ensure the state meets ambitious charging infrastructure targets and developing new programs to ensure we invest in all of our communities, Serve: working to serve our EV customers in a way that inspires joy and builds trust; and, Create: creating a repeatable and scalable pathway to enable widespread electrification via partnerships and policy advocacy. The S&P Manager will be responsible for leading a team focused on regulatory and policy advocacy and new program development for CET and will set and iterate on the strategic direction for electric vehicles within PG&E, as the lead for PG&E’s EV True North Strategy (TNS). A successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, be a self-starter and quick learner and willing to consider industry trends, the regulatory and policy environment, financial impacts, and customer needs as they develop and execute on strategic initiatives for PG&E and our EV customers. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory and will be agreed upon by the successful candidate and hiring leader. Preferred work location is Oakland, CA. PG&E is providing the full salary/pay range for this position. The actual amount paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The range to reasonably expect will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the range. The final decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to the factors above. The work of this department is critical in our efforts to find compliance challenges and identify areas of risk so that we can fix them. The main functions of this department are identifying areas of compliance risk and opportunities to mitigate those risks, including through incident reporting and investigations, overseeing Electric Operations and Power Generation Corrective Action Program (CAP), and validating the controls on the organization. Position Summary PG&E is seeking an experienced business professional to be a member of the Electric Compliance Assurance Team as an Incident Investigator. The Investigator will be responsible for investigating incidents or items of interest. The investigations could be of interest to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), or other areas of compliance risk to determine the cause and any corrective or preventive measures to mitigate reoccurrence. Tasks of this team may include some of the following, or similar tasks: Validating policy implications pertaining to FERC and Electric Delivery Partnering with Functional Area Compliance Teams on risk mitigation strategies impacting FERC compliance Investigating potential self-reports to FERC Office of Enforcement Developing Investigation Forms for FERC Compliance Prepare and respond to FERC data requests This role will have a high level of visibility with PG&E leadership and will support one or many aspects of Compliance Assurance’s scope.
