Job Summary $3,000 Bonus to those who qualify! Graduate of an accredited 1-year certificate or 2-year diploma Medical Assistant program preferred. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assist (RMA) required. Certified by one of the listed governing associations required: NHA, AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, AAH, or AMCA. Job Duties Obtains and documents, using the rooming tool in the electronic medical record, the patient’s reason for visit, weight, vital signs, visit screening information, medication review, and pertinent information for provider. Sets up examination and treatment rooms between cases. Assists patient as needed to prepare for visit with provider, takes appropriate measures to assure patient’s safety and privacy. Job Summary Geisinger ConvenientCare urgent care is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team in Pittston, Pennsylvania Job Duties Our clinicians diagnose and treat common medical problems including sore throats, earaches, sinus infections, flu, urinary tract infections and more. Routine health exams, immunizations, screenings, and wellness services are also provided. Experience is required - Due to the autonomous nature of the position, advanced practitioners must be able to treat patients from age one and older and have a minimum of six months advanced practitioner experience in primary care, emergency medicine, urgent care, or critical care. Position Details The successful Physician Assistant candidate will work under the responsibility and supervision of the physician and require completion of an ARC-PA (or predecessor organization) approved physician assistant program, current NCCPA certification or eligibility and Pennsylvania State licensure. The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will work in collaboration with the physician and have a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners or be eligible to hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position. Must be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA.
