The Journeyman Technician primary responsibilities, with safety in mind, are to maintain, tests, and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. Possessing welding and machining skills is a plus. Applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in analytically determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of manufacturing for a unionized plant. Job Responsibilities: Provides maintenance information by using CMMS. An operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial / electronic controls and power transmission systems. Use strong PLC trouble shooting and problem-solving ability with practical, mechanical & electrical aptitude. Read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings. Maintain production equipment to a reliable level of production through preventative maintenance Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed. Requirements: 2-3 years of Electro-Mechanical Automation System Installation & Troubleshooting Experience The ideal candidate will have mechanical and electrical experience, a familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics and have basic troubleshooting experience with proven ability of machine repair. Must be computer literate with Microsoft environment. High school diploma or equivalent Ability to work independently in a mature and professional manner Ability to work various shifts / overtime / days per week Military training and or Technical School preferred The salary range for this position is $31.00 - $38.00 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location.
