This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about tax planning, tax review, state and local tax, corporate tax returns, income tax, HNWI and tax returns. The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing corporate and individual tax returns, tax planning, and consulting for high net worth individuals. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of tax experience and 5 years of overall experience in the field. Responsibilities: 1. Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, benefit funds, real estate, and exempt organizations. 2. Handle state and local tax compliances. 3. Prepare and review corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant tax laws. 4. Develop tax strategies and policies that help the client meet its financial goals. 5. Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to ensure the company's compliance. 6. Manage relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and competent tax advice. 7. Review financial data to assess tax obligations. 8. Collaborate with the internal team to streamline processes and improve solutions. 9. Provide guidance on the tax implications of business investments and transactions. 10. Stay updated on changes in state, federal, and local tax regulations. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or EA ( or in the process of obtaining) 2. Minimum of 4 years of tax experience. 3. Proven experience in preparing and reviewing corporate and individual tax returns. 4. Extensive knowledge of state and local tax, tax planning, tax review, and income tax. 5. Experience in dealing with high net worth individuals (HNWI) and understanding their tax needs. 6. Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite. 7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 8. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 10. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and work under pressure to meet deadlines. 11. Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations. 12. Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
