This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to bring their expertise in non-profit accounting to a fast-paced, innovative environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing our financial processes, ensuring the accuracy of our records, and leading our dedicated finance team. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities: Oversee all financial operations including, but not limited to, month-end close, review payroll and payroll related entries, accruals, budgets, and projections. Utilize Great Plains software for financial management and reporting. Lead, mentor, and review the work of the finance team to ensure accuracy and adherence to company standards. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices. Prepare and present financial reports and projections to senior management and stakeholders. Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes, improve financial performance, and assist in strategic planning. Manage the annual budgeting process, including the development of forecasts and financial models. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or MBA would be a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role Non profit experience would be a huge plus Proven experience with month-end close, payroll and payroll-related entries, accruals, budgets, and projections. Proficiency in Great Plains software or equivalent financial management software. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead and review the work of a team. Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner. Knowledge of current financial regulations and best practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
