Privacy, Compliance & Regulatory Matters Provide strategic oversight for privacy and data protection matters, including regulatory compliance and incident response. Partner with Information Security and Compliance teams on privacy, cybersecurity, and risk management initiatives. Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting the business and advise leaders on required actions. Litigation & Risk Management Oversee litigation, pre-litigation disputes, demand letters, government inquiries, and employment claims. Manage outside counsel relationships and legal budgets. Develop risk mitigation strategies and provide business-oriented recommendations to senior leadership. Support internal investigations and resolution of complex legal disputes. Qualifications: Required Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing. 10 years of progressive legal experience, including significant in-house experience within a SaaS, software, or technology company, with demonstrable expert understanding of the PropTech, Real Estate Technology, or broader enterprise software industry. Demonstrated people leadership experience, including mentoring and developing legal teams. Extensive experience negotiating and drafting complex commercial and technology agreements. Strong background in contract law, employment law, privacy, and litigation management. Experience partnering directly with executive leadership and business stakeholders. Excellent communication, negotiation, judgment, and relationship-building skills. Preferred Experience leading legal functions at a regional or enterprise level. Experience supporting high-growth, acquisition-oriented technology organizations. Familiarity with privacy frameworks and cybersecurity regulations affecting North American businesses.
