Role Overview We're hiring our first full-time Frontend Engineer to own and evolve the user interfaces that bring our AI systems to life. From dashboards and developer tools to intelligent workflows and context-aware interactions, you'll work across the product to create thoughtful, responsive, and intuitive user experiences. You'll collaborate closely with our UI/UX Designer, Product Manager, and Backend Engineers to translate designs into polished, high-quality web interfaces. This is an opportunity to help define how developers interact with LLMs - and to build interfaces that make complex systems simple and powerful. Responsibilities Develop, ship, and maintain user-facing features in React/TypeScript Translate Figma designs into robust, maintainable, production-quality code Work with product and design to define and refine frontend workflows Build and scale reusable components, layout systems, and design primitives Improve performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across the app Collaborate with backend and ML teams to integrate intelligent features Maintain frontend quality through testing, code reviews, and clean CI workflows Qualifications Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience demonstrated through portfolio work, certifications, or hands-on contributions Experience : 5 years of experience in a frontend engineering role building and maintaining production-grade web apps React Mastery : Deep understanding of React, including Hooks , Context API , and experience with state/data management libraries like React Query, Zustand, Redux, or similar Frameworks & Tooling : Proficient in frontend frameworks that support server-side rendering and optimization; experience with Node.js , build tools, and modern bundlers (e.g., Vite, Webpack) Styling : Experience with CSS-in-JS libraries (e.g. Styled Components, Emotion) and/or SASS/SCSS Testing : Proficient with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest , React Testing Library , Playwright , or Cypress Data Integration : Comfortable consuming REST or GraphQL APIs and integrating via Axios or fetch Performance Optimization : Strong grasp of frontend performance strategies including lazy loading , code splitting , memoization , and improving Web Vitals Accessibility (a11y) : Familiarity with WCAG guidelines and accessibility best practices Communication : Clear communicator and team collaborator, particularly with design and backend peers Mindset : Passionate about building responsive, intuitive, and maintainable user experiences in fast-moving environments Bonus Points Experience building developer tools or technical UIs Familiarity with LLM/AI-integrated frontend features Experience with code editor UIs, diff tools, or repo interfaces Familiarity with frontend testing and visual regression tools (e.g., Playwright, Chromatic) Experience with component-based design systems Use of tools like Storybook or Chromatic for frontend development and visual QA Why Join Us?
