Role Specific Responsibilities: Onsite Customer Location Associates at this location will have the following primary job responsibilities: Managing Tractor/Trailer Assignments: Using a grid schedule, Fleet Associates are responsible for managing available equipment, and assigning trailers using their unit number to the appropriate route, as determined by need and grid schedule. This function is especially crucial for those associates working 1st shift. Managing notification communication to local customer, per their guidelines, and needs. Coupling and uncoupling of heavy-duty trucks (tractors) to the correct trailer as determined by assigned driver, and specific route. It is the responsibility of the Fleet Associate to ensure that the correct tractor is hooked up to the correct trailer, as the tractors are driver specific. If the driver’s tractor is down for service, it is the responsibility of the associate to ensure the correct substitute unit is coupled to the correct trailer. Management of moving loaded trailers to the correct staging area. Management of providing the correct, empty trailer to the loading dock in a timely manner, so as not to impede the workflow of the internal warehouse team. All associates are required to wash and detail a minimum of 15 units per week.
