Assist program directors/managers with the preparation of annual budgets, ensuring program staff understand their budgets. Manage the budget process to ensure budgets are completed on time and that all funding source match requirements or other mandates are properly reflected in the budgets. Coordinate the annual consolidated audit of the agency act as primary liaison with the external auditors. Develop internal accounting procedures for those that need creation and ensure existing procedures are routinely updated. Ensure all staff are trained in new/changing procedures. Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) duties as assigned by supervision & PQI duties as assigned by supervision & PQI Committee. Other projects as assigned Qualifications A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with 7–10 years of relevant accounting experience at the assistant controller/controller level, or a related education/experience combination. Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop accounting staff. Proven experience using Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar mid-market general ledge software package. Excellent skills using Microsoft Office products. Proven oral and written communication skills.
