Responsibility: Coordination between outside counsel and employees. Assist with collection of data for discovery responses; prepare, or review and approve, discovery responses. Provide sound and practical legal advice to operations and support departments. Conduct legal research on diverse substantive matters as needed. Review, assess and resolve liability complaints, threats, claims, and the management of litigation. Participate in risk management legal process and risk mitigation improvements. Develop in-depth knowledge of the company services/solutions and business models. Professional Qualifications: The position requires a Juris Doctor degree with strong academic credentials,5 years of relevant legal experience, and admitted and in good standing in any jurisdiction with authorization to practice law in Texas or Colorado. Significant experience in medical malpractice, auto liability, and general liability litigation; aviation liability and workers compensation experience preferred but not required. Ability to synthesize complex issues and provide straightforward, practical solutions to business partners and carrying that advice through to implementation.
