ABOUT THE PRACTICE: Mays & Schnapp Neurospine and Pain is a leader in comprehensive pain management, offering compassionate, multimodal care for patients across the Mid-South. With decades of innovation and clinical excellence, the team continues to build on a legacy of pioneering treatment to help individuals regain function and improve their quality of life. Our two founding physicians, anesthesiologist Dr. Kit S. Mays and neurologist Dr. Moacir Schnapp, began Mays & Schnapp in the early 1980's and in 1993 expanded their practice to include an onsite ambulatory surgery center, creating what is now the oldest and most well-regarded pain management facility in the Mid-South. The practice is based on the belief that the best treatment comes from a multimodal approach to relieve pain, restore function, and improve quality of life. Mays & Schnapp was first recognized in 1989, and continues today, to be certified by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facility (CARF). It is the only CARF certified interdisciplinary pain rehabilitation outpatient program in the state and entire region. Today, the experienced medical team at Mays & Schnapp continues to grow, expanding both in care team and locations. The Center's multimodal treatment philosophy may include any combination of nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, the full array of advanced procedures, physical therapy, and other therapies. The team at Mays & Schnapp brings advanced, individualized care to help patients manage their pain. The practice, located in beautiful East Memphis, expanded in 2020 to add a second location in Southaven, Mississippi, and expanded further in 2024 opening an office in Jackson, Tennessee. Our full Team consists of 5 interventional pain physicians, 9 APPs, and 4 Physical Therapists. Purpose of Position and Scope of Responsibility: Pain management physicians examine patients to determine the cause of their discomfort and develop a treatment plan to minimize the effects of the pain and allow the patients to resume as much regular activity as possible. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of the organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrates behavior consistent with the core values and supports the Center's strategic plan.
