Packaging Associate/Laborer 3rd shift Efficiently operate labeling machinery to produce labeled food packaging products within specifications. Job Duties Include: Operate Labeling line at a rate that meets or exceeds quality and production standards. Troubleshoot routine process problems without generating excessive label scrap. Maintain adequate supplies for all line equipment to ensure continual operation. Follow all Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Standards and Safe Work Practices Know locations of/operations emergency stop buttons and fire extinguishers in your area. Provide relief to other members of team as necessary. Complete required quality checks and production reports in an efficient and timely manner. Complete all production paperwork accurately. Ensure lot code information is printed accurately on every case produced. Follow line Run Rules. Obtain technical assistance when needed. Shut down the Labeler if a safety, quality, or scrap defect cannot be resolved in a timely manner. Shipping and Receiving Clerk / Pallet Jack Under supervision and using established procedures, ensures that trucks are loaded, trays and dollies are unloaded properly. Follows all GMP’s and insures hands are cleaned and sanitized at all times. Ensures the production of safe, high quality product. Promotes good company morale. Report any equipment and/or people issues. Insures all checklist and required forms are filled correctly in a timely manner. Complete all tasks deemed necessary by supervisors. RESPONSIBILITIES: Unloads trailers as they arrive. Keep docks clean, removing any empty trays and pallets. Offloads any ingredients or other material that may be delivered. Checks and records ingredients received on the proper form. Sweeps out and loads trucks according to load sheets, checking off stacks and/or pallets as they are loaded. Writes down on the load sheet the dates of the product that goes on the trailer. After load is complete, checks that the pallets on the trailer correspond to the number on the load sheet. Turns in load sheets, B.O.L., and in other forms completed during shift. Throws away all empty boxes and bags. Places all product varieties in the proper aisles and records quantity on “push in sheet”. Keeps freezer organized and pushed up. Ensures proper rotation of product (first-in/first-out). Keeps ante rooms clean and the back of the freezer swept, scraped and free of any debris. Notifies engineering/foreperson of any equipment problems immediately. Monitors quality of the product, package seal, trays, dollies and coding. Checks for proper nesting of trays. Performs M.B. pull and push up. Performs GSF pull and push up. Keep entire area clean at all times. Perform Sanitation duties as needed and assigned by Supervisor. Performs any other job deemed necessary by Supervisor.
