This is an excellent opportunity for a real estate paralegal who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced transactional environment and wants to support meaningful, mission-driven work with nonprofit and community development clients. Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days in-office, 2 days remote Target Hours: ~1,600 billable hours Responsibilities: Draft and submit applications/filings to governmental agencies, including the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs and local appraisal districts Manage multiple real estate transactions and regulatory matters concurrently Track and meet critical deadlines across transactions and regulatory processes Support real estate closings - due diligence, document assembly, post-closing deliverables Draft basic closing, organizational, and related legal documents Prepare and track property tax exemption requests with appraisal districts Serve as a client contact point for guidance, requests, and diligence collection Coordinate with vendors for searches, certificates, and closing documentation Support nonprofit clients on operational, compliance, board, and portfolio matters Process vendor invoices and maintain accurate time entries Maintain organized files and data rooms throughout the transaction lifecycle Requirements: 5 years of relevant real estate paralegal experience required Bachelor's degree preferred; ABA-approved paralegal certificate a plus Familiarity with corporate entity structures and SOS/Comptroller filings Knowledge of real estate acquisition and loan financing documentation Strong client communication and organizational skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, NetDocs (or similar DMS), and Intapp (or similar time-entry system) Comfort using AI tools to enhance legal work efficiency Ability to work overtime as needed Interested in hearing more?
