Key Responsibilities: Draft legal documents including discovery requests/responses, interrogatories, subpoenas, motions, witness declarations, and deposition summaries. Support trial preparation by organizing exhibits, trial binders, and scheduling witnesses. Conduct case-related legal research (statutory and case law) using Westlaw and other databases. Manage deadlines, case calendars, and filing logistics with precision. Assist in case development: interviewing clients, gathering facts, analyzing medical and legal records, and preparing case summaries. Coordinate depositions, court reporters, experts, and interpreters. Provide administrative and procedural support to assigned attorneys throughout pre-litigation and litigation phases. Make informed recommendations based on case evaluations and legal research. What You Bring to the Table: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent relevant experience). Completion of an ABA-approved paralegal program (required). Minimum 2 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in plaintiff-side employment law, workers' compensation, or personal injury. Strong knowledge of California civil procedure and discovery rules. Excellent drafting, organization, and communication skills. Proficiency with legal software tools (e.g., Westlaw, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Office Suite, and law practice management systems such as Clio or MyCase).
