General Cardiology is in search Part Time Physician (MD/DO) for Locum Tenens due to Provider On Vacation. We are looking for a provider to start 04/03/2026 through 12/13/2026. with coverage dates noted below for weekend coverage Friday 7 am ending Monday 8 am. April 3,4,5 May 1,2,3 May 22,23,24 June 19,20,21 July 24,25,26 Aug 21,22,23 Aug 28,29,30 Sept 18,19,20 Oct 9,10,11 Oct 16,17,18 Nov 6,7,8 Nov 20,21,22 Dec 11,12,13 (one provider preferred) Shifts/ Days/Hours weekly: Friday 7 am to Monday 7 am. Will report onsite each morning to round and check on patients, onsite call during that time, after hours call as well. rarely called back onsite. Is a call only or onsite with call: both Hospital Beds: 250- beds Acute Care Facility Trauma Level: Level II EMR or Written notes: Epic Required Skills, Experience, Licensure MD/DO: Either BC Will you accept Family Practice, Internal Med trained Internalist- No Required Certifications: BLS or ACLS, ATLS, DEA Certificate, other: License: Active KY preferred due to April star dates and lengthy onboarding process when license is not active Required Skills, Experience, Licensure MD/DO: Either BC Will you accept Family Practice, Internal Med trained Internalist- No Required Certifications: BLS or ACLS, ATLS, DEA Certificate, other: License: Active KY preferred due to April star dates and lengthy onboarding process when license is not active Required Experience in: Management of risk factors for cardiovascular disease prevention and early diagnosis and intervention for established disease are important to cardiology. Diseases typically seen by a cardiologist include: Coronary artery disease Ischemic heart disease Pericardial disease Cardiomyopathies Endocarditis Dysrhythmias Valvular heart disease Congenital heart disease in adults Disorders of the veins, arteries and pulmonary circulation Patient Population: General public with high burden of older population with smoking and alcohol use, diabetes, Hypertension, and occasional VA population Setting of Care:- Inpatient Unit Bed Count: 20 Patients per day in Unit: /- 5 for average weekend Avg Unit Census: 10-15, which includes 20 ICU/CCU beds Will Locums be sole provider: yes- for general cardiology, Interv. Card will see those patients. Is there other support start for Locums: (if so what): Are intensivists on staff 24/7: echo tech 24/7 and IC 24/7 on staff Is there support staff, what does that include: Echo EKG Anything else we need to know about this unit or need for the incoming provider? Most cases are Afib, RVR, CHD (related to cardiology) Inpatient- yes Call : yes Round Required: yes- 2-4 hours typically Will Locums do Admits: Rarely- hospitalist will do these.
