Position Highlights: Position: Athletic Trainer Location: Kildeer and Arlington Heights Full Time: 40 hours/weekly Hours: Monday-Friday, rotating hours between 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM. Required Travel: Travel based upon department needs A Brief Overview: The Athletic Trainer will collaborate with physicians to optimize activity and participation of patients. Athletic training encompasses the prevention, diagnosis and intervention of emergency, acute and chronic medical conditions involving impairment, functional limitations and disabilities. Athletic trainers specialize in preventing, diagnosing, and treating muscle and bone injuries and illnesses. What you will do: Fit patients with casts, braces, crutches, and other associated durable medical equipment. Act as a liaison between interdisciplinary healthcare providers, patients, and their families Perform vital signs with special attention to the geriatric, neonatal and pediatric patients; prepare patients for physician visit. Provide a therapeutic exercise plan, patient education, follow-up planning and referrals.
