Job Duties Clinical responsibilities include ambulatory and inpatient care, consultative services, and performance of general GI procedures. The candidate is expected to participate in the supervision and education of medical students, residents, and fellows in Gastroenterology. The division has also established the first of its kind Advanced Endoscopy fellowship and has successfully trained five fellows. The Voelker Clinical Research Center provides assistance for interested faculty who wish to pursue clinical research. Outpatient clinical care for children with all types of intestinal, hepatic, pancreatic and nutritional disorders. Responsibilities: Lead and oversee clinical trials, ensuring compliance with protocol requirements, regulatory standards, and ethical guidelines. Requirements: Previous experience as a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator for clinical research trials a huge plus, but willing to consider those without. Current and unencumbered license to practice as an MD or DO within the state of California required (or eligible for). Must be board-certified or board-eligible. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with sponsors, research teams, and external stakeholders. Familiarity with regulatory requirements, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, and industry best practices in clinical research. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. IV experience preferred, but not required. California Pay Range $130 - $160 USD
