Duties and Responsibilities Plan, schedule, and manage multiple low voltage projects from initiation through completion Develop comprehensive project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet critical deadlines Coordinate effectively with clients, architects, general contractors, and subcontractors Conduct regular project status meetings and provide detailed updates to stakeholders Review and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications Ensure all installations comply with local codes, industry standards (NEC, NFPA), and manufacturer requirements Oversee system testing, commissioning, and final acceptance procedures Troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop effective solutions Supervise project teams including technicians, installers, and subcontractors Assign tasks strategically and ensure optimal resource allocation Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members Conduct safety meetings and ensure strict compliance with safety protocols Serve as primary point of contact for clients during project execution Manage client expectations and address concerns promptly and professionally Coordinate project changes and obtain necessary approvals Prepare comprehensive project documentation, reports, and closeout packages Manage project budgets meticulously and track expenses Process change orders and maintain accurate project records Ensure proper permitting and inspection processes are followed Required Experience/Skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred 5 years of hands-on experience in low voltage systems or related field 3 years of proven project management experience 10 years of combined low voltage systems and PM experience would be preferred Strong knowledge of low voltage systems including security, fire alarm, telecommunications, and A/V systems Proficiency with project management software (MS Project, Primavera, etc.) Solid understanding of electrical codes and industry standards Experience with CAD software and blueprint reading Knowledge of network infrastructure and IP-based systems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong leadership and team management abilities Problem-solving and critical thinking skills Attention to detail and quality focus Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Customer service orientation Nice-to-Haves PMP certification or willingness to pursue certification Personal interest in emerging technologies and building automation Experience with specific low voltage manufacturers and their product lines Background working in fast-paced construction or technology environments Experience with building information modeling (BIM) software Previous work in commercial or industrial construction settings Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and construction site protocols Experience working with government or regulated industry clients Education Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
