Details Acute care Labor & Delivery/LDRP unit with 15 LDRP and 15 postpartum beds Approximately 400 births per year Patient population includes obstetrics, postpartum, antepartum, post-surgical GYN, and pregnancy with hypertension or diabetes Follows AWHONN staffing ratios of 1:3 and 1:1 for laboring patients RNs required to titrate drips including Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia Charge nurse present on each shift and takes a patient assignment RNs troubleshoot RT equipment but are not responsible for management beyond that No tele/monitor tech responsibilities on this unit 12-hour night shifts, 6-7 shifts per scheduling period Every other weekend required Floating is rare, limited to critical staffing situations for basic tasks only No call or standby requirements Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active RN license (NE state or Compact/NLC) required, pending licenses not accepted Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience required Current BLS and NRP certifications required Acute care hospital experience required Driver's license required for consideration to verify permanent residence Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility Additional Information Provide direct patient care in a unit recognized as Blue Distinction with high patient experience scores Unit is breastfeeding-friendly Holiday coverage required if there is a staffing need Orientation includes 1 week of classroom training followed by 2-3 shifts on the floor Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments; refusal to comply may result in contract termination RNs must pass an open-book pass/fail exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90% Up to 7 days of RTO may be requested upfront per 13-week contract; additional RTO will not be approved Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility Candidates may not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year First-time travelers are welcome to apply American Traveler Job ID P-740621.
