Director of Product (San Francisco)

About Us Point One Navigation is building the future of precise location. Our mission is to deliver a unified location platform that enables autonomy, safety, and efficiency across industries — from robotics to transportation. Localization is at the heart of what makes a robot capable: a machine that doesn't know precisely where it is can't act safely or autonomously in the physical world. That makes us foundational to the future of physical and embodied AI — and this role will help get us there. Our outdoor positioning product is already established and growing fast, with real revenue momentum behind it — and we're just getting started. We are a high-performance, highly collaborative team that thrives on solving complex problems, moving fast, and delivering measurable impact. Role Outcome The Director of Product owns the clarity, coordination, and execution integrity of the Product organization. This is an execution-first role, and you're joining at a great time to make an impact: our outdoor positioning product has real revenue momentum, and this role will shape what comes next. This isn't a process-only seat — you'll be hands-on with engineering on some of our most technically complex product decisions, not just relaying them. You will lead a team that translates product direction into clear specifications, structured backlogs, actionable roadmaps, and coordinated delivery — ensuring what gets built matches what the market needs, at the pace and scale the business requires. Success in this role means: Product definitions clearly reflect market and customer requirements before engineering begins work. The backlog and roadmap are transparent, current, and understood across the company. Engineering builds remain aligned to the intended market outcome, with tradeoffs surfaced early and managed intentionally. The field, customers, and leadership have structured visibility into what is coming, what shipped, and what it does. Delivery stays aligned to spec through release, with gaps caught early and the team held to a high bar. Executives, the board, customers, and internal teams get regular, structured updates on roadmap progress and business impact. Immediate Areas of Focus Document Complete, Market-Driven Product Definitions Own the creation and maintenance of detailed Product requirements across the portfolio. Lead structured interviews with stakeholders and customers to document what the product must accomplish from a market perspective. Translate business and customer needs into clear functional requirements. Maintain Product requirements as living documents throughout the lifecycle of each capability. Update documentation as scope, sequencing, or functionality evolves. Ensure scope is reviewed and approved prior to execution. Own Backlog Tracking & Roadmap Prioritization You own the roadmap: the prioritization calls, the operating cadence, and the visibility across the company. Own and maintain a transparent, company-wide backlog. Set prioritization criteria and make the final roadmap sequencing calls, in partnership with executive leadership. Consolidate sizing inputs and own the resourced roadmap. Lead roadmap review sessions with Product and Engineering leadership. Update the roadmap quarterly to reflect actual progress and new priorities. Clearly communicate changes when sequencing or delivery timing shifts. Own Positioning Engine (Client) Product Direction Own the roadmap and support boundaries for the client/positioning-engine side of the product — one of the most technically complex, highest-upside parts of the portfolio, especially as we push into Indoor positioning. Set a clear point of view on where the positioning engine/client product is headed, and what we will and won't support going forward. Own this area end-to-end rather than as a side responsibility — it requires dedicated, hands-on attention to do well. Identify and prioritize growth opportunities here, with Indoor positioning as a key near-term focus. Free up executive/technical leadership time currently spent on this work by taking direct ownership of it. Qualifications 8 years of experience in Product Management or Product Strategy, including experience leading a team. Track record of owning product strategy and roadmap decisions for a SaaS, hardware-adjacent, or technical platform. Strong technical acumen; engineering or technical background is a plus. Preferably, experience with GNSS, robotics, autonomous systems, drones, industrial automation, or defense technologies. Experience with cloud platforms, APIs, embedded systems, and real-time data systems. Preferably, technical depth in GNSS/positioning fundamentals (e.g., signal processing, multipath, sensor fusion, satellite geometry) sufficient to personally dig into why a positioning solution is degraded, not just relay engineering's explanation. Experience partnering directly with executive leadership and presenting to boards or investors. Experience driving monetization, pricing, or portfolio strategy with measurable revenue impact. Strong ability to structure ambiguity into clear strategy, documentation, and plans. Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success leadership. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bias toward action, ownership, and continuous improvement. Our Cultural Foundation At Point One, our cultural and operating design is built around one guiding principle: we must move with extreme speed and efficiency of effort to stay in a leadership position. This environment gives people high autonomy and the ability to make a real impact. It also challenges every team member to grow — both professionally and personally. Because we focus on promoting from within rather than relying on external hiring, the opportunities for advancement are significant for those who seek them. That said, growth only comes from delivering in the present. What matters most is the job to be done today, not the job you want tomorrow. When we focus on today's outcomes with excellence, greater responsibility naturally follows. How We Show Up Every Day Trust / Assume Best Intent — We start from trust so we can move fast. High Output, Action Oriented — Our default posture is yes. We prioritize execution and momentum. Divine Discontent — We are never satisfied with the status quo and continuously improve. No Ego, One Team — Collaboration without ego creates leverage. Self Accountability — Ownership accelerates learning and preserves trust. Operating Principles Edge Innovation — Bias toward action over approval. No Hierarchies — Self-prioritize and go direct to the source. Customer Experience First — Optimize for the end‑to‑end customer outcome, not departmental efficiency. J-18808-Ljbffr

Convergent Research • New York, NY or Remote U.S. AI Partner (New York)

Convergent Research is a nonprofit science studio best known for pioneering the Focused Research Organization (FRO): purpose-built, mission-driven orgs designed to solve technological bottlenecks, unlock whole new fields, and lead to scaled revolutions. We’ve proven our model works by building over 14 high-impact scientific organizations spanning AI, biotech, mathematics, climate science, and more. AI capability is compounding faster than the world's ability to absorb it. Other technologies got decades to sort out their safety codes, their testing regimes, and the institutions that enforce them. We don't have decades. The defenses have to be built while the technology is still moving, and there's no budget line anywhere that says build the defenses now. That's the gap this role exists to close. Not how do we build another AI company — plenty of people are doing that. This role is about building the missing institutions and technical infrastructure that make the world resilient to advanced AI: the defensive capabilities that won't be built by a startup, won't fit inside an academic lab, and are too important to leave to chance. What you’ll do Partners at Convergent are like senior partners at a venture incubator. You'll create and fully own a growing portfolio of FROs and other scientific projects that advance AI resilience — society's capacity to capture AI's benefits while withstanding its risks. The portfolio is yours to define, but the surface area is much bigger than model safety alone. It spans defensive biosecurity (pathogen-agnostic detection, next-generation PPE, rapid countermeasures), provably secure cyber-physical systems and formal verification, epistemic infrastructure for a world flooded with AI-generated content, independent evaluation and monitoring capacity, compute governance, economic modeling of the transition — and areas nobody has named yet. The unifying question: what keystone defensive capability, if it existed, would make the world meaningfully harder to break? You will have extreme latitude to decide what your portfolio should include, and the resources to go build it. You’ll form strong theses, find extraordinary founders, pressure-test ideas, raise money, build boards, launch organizations, and help them move with the speed and focus of the best deep-tech startups. Specifically, you will: Roadmap the AI resilience landscape to identify the bottlenecks and keystone capabilities worth building organizations around Source and diligence ideas for new projects and organizations and design funding calls in partnership with funders Build founding teams and help recruit the early hires who will make or break them Directly contribute to and coach founders on technical and organizational roadmaps, fundraising, and standing up startup ops from zero Serve as a Director on multiple FRO boards, keeping teams on track against milestones and helping founders make the genuinely hard calls on funding, strategic direction, hiring, firing, and operations Represent Convergent externally, building high-trust relationships with the philanthropic and public funders now committing serious capital to AI resilience Contribute to Convergent-wide initiatives like our Founder Retreats and Residencies Who you are You understand the AI landscape of 2026 in granular detail: who is building what, why, and on what timeline More importantly, you have a view on where that leaves the rest of the world exposed, and which of those exposures are tractable and through what clever ideas and technical methods they might be patchable, and who are the people developing those ideas You have ideas, or a credible plan to find ideas, for large-scale efforts that would measurably improve how the world weathers this transition You can argue passionately for a thesis about where philanthropic capital should go, and then argue the other side just as well You're technically fluent in frontier AI, enough to tell a real bottleneck from a fashionable one You have a deep network in the field and people pick up when you call You know how startups actually work, probably because you’ve worked at one, or at a venture firm, or built something yourself You’ve raised money, owned a budget, written technical roadmaps, and hired people You’ve assembled a group of people to do a hard technical thing, and it worked You’ve spent time around boards, governance, or nonprofit leadership You communicate clearly and you move fast It’s okay if you don’t meet every single criterion above perfectly. If you've read this far, and you're already sketching the organization you'd build first, we want to hear from you. In 6 months you will have Written a clear thesis for Convergent’s AI resilience portfolio: the areas we should pursue, the bottlenecks we are uniquely positioned to unlock, and the kinds of founders we should be backing. Helped at least one promising founder or founding team move from early concept toward a fundable, technically credible organizational plan. Built a strong map of the AI resilience ecosystem, including researchers, funders, labs, nonprofits, policymakers, and technical experts whose work should inform our portfolio. Sourced and diligenced a serious pipeline of potential FROs or FRO-like projects, with several ready for deeper development Built trusted relationships with key funders and external advisors who can help us launch ambitious new AI resilience institutions. What you’ll get A rare chance to build institutional architecture for frontier science alongside some of the sharpest people working across a dozen fields Competitive salary, with a range of $200,000 - $350,000. As a nonprofit, our compensation practices are designed to align with our compensation philosophy and IRS requirements. Convergent Research exists to fill a structural gap in the R&D system. We enable fundamental research that requires unusual levels of scale and coordination yet is not rapidly monetizable by industry. We’re bringing together top talent from academia, industry, and startups to build a new model for innovative R&D. We are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. We believe in hiring individuals based on their unique talents—not on race, color, religion, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, military or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law or our company policies. We are more than a proud Equal Employment Opportunity employer. Our goal is to foster a healthy, safe, and respectful environment where all employees are valued and treated with dignity. Chief Sales Officer (Columbus)

Solid Ground Solutions is seeking a hands‑on Chief Sales Officer to build a scalable, measurable sales operating system across its portfolio of home services businesses. This is not a headquarters‑only strategy role. The CSO will own the system that turns leads into profitable revenue: talent, process, training, coaching, pricing discipline, financing, capacity, accountability, and continuous improvement. What This Leader Will Build: One Sales Operating System Codify a repeatable in‑home selling process from pre‑call preparation through discovery, inspection, presentation, financing, proposal, close, follow‑up, and cancellation prevention. Define non‑negotiable standards while allowing product‑ and market‑specific adaptation. A Performance Culture Install daily and weekly scorecards, manager huddles, pipeline and issued‑lead reviews, ride‑along routines, call/video review where available, role‑play, and monthly business reviews. Create visibility early enough to change an outcome—not simply explain it after month‑end. A Sales Talent Machine Create recruiting profiles, selection standards, onboarding, certification, ramp milestones, continuing education, performance improvement plans, succession paths, and objective criteria for upgrading talent. Manager Excellence Make frontline sales managers accountable for coaching and development, not merely reporting numbers. Establish manager scorecards that measure team production, spread, ramp, retention, coaching activity, and process compliance. A Test‑and‑Learn Engine Systematically identify top performers and winning behaviors, test scripts/offers/financing/presentation methods, and rapidly scale what works across the portfolio. Core Responsibilities: Own sales performance across the portfolio in partnership with General Managers, with clear accountability for close rate, net sales, average ticket, revenue per issued lead, productivity, cancellations, discounting, and forecast accuracy. Translate company revenue plans into required issued leads, sits, closes, net sales, salesperson capacity, hiring needs, and manager‑level targets by market. Build a common KPI dictionary and source‑of‑truth dashboard so every operating company measures sales performance consistently. Segment performance by market, manager, representative, tenure, product, lead source, financing type, price/discount level, and other actionable dimensions. Establish leading indicators—not just lagging revenue metrics—including demo/process adherence, financing presentation, follow‑up activity, ride‑alongs, role‑play, and manager coaching. Develop a structured in‑home sales methodology centered on customer discovery, problem diagnosis, value creation, technical credibility, clear options, financing, objection resolution, and an ethical ask for the business. Build onboarding and certification with defined 30/60/90‑day productivity expectations and clear gates before representatives run leads independently. Create ongoing training around product knowledge, price presentation, financing, objection handling, urgency, closing, follow‑up, and cancellation prevention. Institute field coaching and ride‑along standards for CSO, regional/portfolio leadership, GMs, and sales managers; spend meaningful time where selling actually happens. Create a rapid‑response performance playbook for markets or teams falling below standard, with root‑cause diagnosis, action owners, milestones, and follow‑up. Partner tightly with Marketing on lead quality, source economics, speed‑to‑lead/appointment quality, capacity, and feedback loops; optimize for revenue and contribution per lead rather than close rate in isolation. Partner with Finance on forecasting, pricing and discount guardrails, compensation design, and unit economics; ensure incentives reward profitable, collectible net revenue—not bad volume. Partner with Operations to ensure the sales promise can be fulfilled, reduce preventable cancellations, and incorporate installation/service feedback into training. Lead sales integration for acquisitions: assess talent and process quickly, establish baseline KPIs, identify near‑term wins, and migrate businesses to the Solid Ground operating system on a defined timeline. Evaluate and deploy technology—including CRM workflow, call/video intelligence, automated follow‑up, AI coaching, and analytics—where it creates measurable improvement. Other duties as assigned Executive Scorecard: Net revenue growth Sustainable organic growth versus plan by operating company and portfolio Revenue efficiency Revenue/net sales per issued lead and per salesperson; contribution economics where available Conversion Close rate and follow‑up conversion, segmented by lead source, market, manager and rep tenure Quality of sale Cancellation rate, discount rate, financing mix, price integrity and customer experience Talent productivity Ramp time, rep utilization/capacity, productivity distribution, retention and bench strength Management effectiveness Reduced performance spread, coaching cadence, forecast accuracy and corrective‑action execution System adoption Certification, process adherence, CRM/data hygiene and consistent use of the Solid Ground sales operating system First-Year Priorities: First 30 days: Diagnose. Establish KPI definitions and baseline performance; ride with teams; assess managers, talent, process, pricing/financing practices, capacity, and technology. Days 31–90: Standardize. Publish the core selling system, management cadence, scorecards, talent standards, and training/certification roadmap. Launch targeted interventions in the highest‑opportunity businesses. Months 4–6: Scale. Certify managers and reps, institutionalize coaching, deploy dashboards and forecasting routines, and replicate proven practices across operating companies. Months 7–12: Optimize. Demonstrate measurable portfolio improvement, reduce performance variability, strengthen the leadership bench, improve acquisition integration, and establish a repeatable continuous‑improvement engine. Candidate Profile: Proven senior sales leader in residential home services, home improvement, or another high‑velocity in‑home consultative sales environment. Track record of materially improving close rate, revenue per lead, net sales productivity, manager effectiveness, and sales talent quality across multiple locations. Operator mentality: equally comfortable with executive planning, dashboards, compensation and forecasting—and in a home observing a sales appointment. Experience building sales systems, training academies, certification, coaching routines, performance management, and manager development. Strong command of sales analytics and the ability to distinguish lead‑quality, capacity, talent, process, pricing, financing, and management problems. Experience in decentralized, private‑equity‑backed, multi‑brand or acquisition‑oriented environments strongly preferred. High standards, low ego, strong influence skills, and the ability to create accountability without unnecessary bureaucracy. Comfort using modern CRM, analytics, call intelligence, automation and AI‑enabled sales/coaching tools. Leadership Profile: The right CSO is a builder, coach and operator. This person should create a culture in which sales is neither mysterious nor personality‑dependent: the process is teachable, the numbers are visible, managers coach every week, top practices spread quickly, and underperformance triggers action. The CSO must earn credibility with local operators while being willing to challenge legacy practices when the data and field evidence say there is a better way.
