Operator must have the aptitude to operate pumps and equipment using computerized software at both local and remote operating stations from a centralized location. Performs preventative maintenance of diesel engines, main pumps, generators, compressors, travel screens, raw water intake, and trash rake. Detects, diagnoses, repairs, and reports machinery and equipment malfunctions using a computer maintenance-based system (SAP). Utilizes basic mathematical skills to compute water elevations using various data. Ability to read and comprehend construction drawings, specifications, and SOP’s to understand operations of pumping stations, piping systems, and machinery layout. Maintains a manual and electronic history of machinery equipment and water conditions, using Excel and SAP, a work order-based software.
