Essential Duties & Responsibilities Developing and maintaining web applications using JavaScript-based frameworks, particularly Angular (including Angular Material UI). While primarily a front-end role, some experience with server-side frameworks, particularly Java and JSP, is preferred as you'll occasionally overlap and back up our Senior Java Developer. Designing applications and refactoring code for optimal design, performance, modularization, and to eliminate redundancies. Commitment to code security and integrity, utilizing tools like GitHub code scanning and CodeQL to identify and remediate vulnerabilities. Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications Education Requirements: A bachelor’s degree is required Level of Experience Requirements: -5 years of experience in Front-End Web Development Ability to work independently with minimal oversight. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Strong experience developing and maintaining web applications using JavaScript-based frameworks, particularly Angular (including Angular Material UI). Familiarity with other frameworks, such as React and Vue, is a plus. Experience with Docker (or similar) for local development, testing, and deployment to various application environments. Experience developing and maintaining applications in cloud environments, whether on Virtual Machines (VMs) or in containerized clusters. Experience with DevOps best practices, including: Writing and maintaining code using GitHub, including familiarity with branching strategies (e.g., GitFlow), release management, rebasing, and maintaining clean commit history. Working with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or GitHub Actions) to create and maintain automated build and deployment processes Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, and Bootstrap. Experience with service-oriented architecture and microservices, especially working with RESTful API services. You'll architect applications and refactor code for optimal design, performance, modularization, and to eliminate redundancies. Familiarity with Node.js applications and managing packages using npm. • Knowledge of organizational procedures and workflows – understanding how work moves through a company. • Basic knowledge of relevant technologies or tools – e.g., Microsoft 365, communication platforms, or industry‑standard software. • Knowledge of customer service practices – principles of providing quality service and managing inquiries professionally. • Knowledge of data privacy and confidentiality principles – awareness of proper handling of sensitive information. • Communication skills (written and verbal) – ability to convey information clearly and professionally. • Time management and prioritization – balancing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines. • Problem‑solving and critical thinking – analyzing issues and selecting appropriate solutions. • Interpersonal and teamwork skills – building rapport and collaborating effectively with others. • Attention to detail – producing accurate, error‑free work. Preferred Experience in a Cloud environment, specifically AWS.
