Daytime Hospitalist Opportunity in Roseburg, OR Service Area: 110,000Located 70 miles from Eugene; 95 miles from Medford Position Details: Full-time, permanent position Multi-Specialty group Family Medicine or Internal Medicine trained MGMA median of 328,934K 7/7 schedule, Daytime only 7:30am - 5pm - sign out to the local Hospitalist group Open ICU and procedures available, but not required The practice is a perfect blend of Family Medicine and OB-GYN, fully integrated within a Level 5 Patient Centered Primary Care Home. The group is one practice, consisting of 44 Providers, which include Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Psychiatry, Pediatrics, OB-GYN, Certified Nurse Midwives, Family Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Behavior Health Counselors. Wide range of services: the practice includes outpatient primary care, inpatient medical care of the patients, OB-GYN outpatient, surgical and obstetrical care, urgent care, occupational medicine, SUDS, advanced telehealth services, etc. Women's Health and Family Medicine complement one another's services. Two Family Physicians are integrated within Women's Health for obstetrical coverage. Family Medicine providers refer to Women's Health for surgical care needs and Women's Health refers to primary care for medical management outside their scope of practice. Shared committees, outside activities and case presentations add cohesion and easy communication. Overview: Our client is seeking a Physician to provide direct primary medical care to patients and supervise medical care personnel, including PCP Nurse Practitioners, RNs, and Certified Medical Assistants. The Physician will deliver care within the Interdisciplinary Team framework. Population: Geriatrics Setting : Outpatient Clinic Schedule : Monday - Friday NO Weekends Essential Duties Conduct comprehensive history and physical assessments for new referrals. Perform interval history and physical exams for established participants, conducted quarterly or as needed. Evaluate and treat participants with episodic illnesses. Make referrals to Medical Specialists as necessary. Admit participants to the hospital when appropriate, providing primary care responsibilities during hospitalization and coordinating discharge planning with the IDT. Oversee the care of participants residing in nursing homes, including regular visits and communication with nursing home staff. Engage in family conferences for care planning and implementation. Coordinate 24-hour care delivery. Document participant changes accurately in medical records and communicates these changes to the IDT promptly. Participate in the IDT, attend staff meetings, and contribute to participant care planning. Stay updated on quality/clinical standards and best practices for the geriatric population. Contribute to Ethics and Quality Improvement Committees or work groups as assigned. Other duties as assigned What you must have: Valid MD/DO license in good standing to practice medicine in the State of practicing. Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine. Minimum of two years of clinical experience required. Experience working with a frail or elderly population preferred, or willingness to undergo appropriate training upon hiring. Knowledge of geriatric medicine and the special needs of complex geriatric patients. Fellowship or additional training in Geriatrics preferred. Understanding of the culture and needs of socially and ethnically diverse populations.
