Salary range: $25-$38/hour PURPOSE: To furnish quality major and minor in-house repairs to the Reefer fleet in a timely and efficient manner, while complying with Marten Transport, Ltd. policy and procedure. RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain proficiency in the diagnosis and repair of all equipment which includes high quality and low cost completed in a timely manner to meet fleet cost per mile goals. Maintain proficiency in rebuilding components on equipment. Effectively and efficiently performs preventative maintenance inspections. Ensure the timely and effective repair of any problems identified during preventive maintenance inspections. Ensure all company, EPA and Safety policies are complied with to meet local, state, and federal standards. Complete all repair orders in a timely manner, ensuring all labor and parts are charged to the appropriate unit. Return all unused parts to the parts room. Attends all company training classes, then retains and demonstrate what was instructed. Responsible for the cleanliness of the work area. Performs additional duties and special projects as needed or directed. Other duties as assigned. ABILITIES/SKILLS REQUIRED: Must possess mechanical skills and aptitude for the position. The Assistant Director, Public Funding supports the development, coordination, and execution of Goodwill Southern California’s public funding portfolio, with a primary focus on federal, state, county, and local government grant opportunities. Reporting to the Senior Director of Grant Funding, this role directly oversees and implements the preparation of competitive, high quality, compliant funding proposals ranging from $250K–$5M. The Assistant Director works closely with workforce program leaders and cross-functional teams to translate program design, outcomes, and community need into strong public grant submissions and technical request packages that advance Goodwill Southern California’s social impact across Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Riverside Counties. Job Description To utilize the nursing process to care and/or counsel individuals in the promotion and maintenance of health and the prevention of illness and injury. Using a systematic critical-thinking approach to guide data gathering, assessment, nursing judgment, intervention and evaluation of human responses to actual and potential health problems through activities such as health teaching, health counseling and the provision of care supportive and restorative of life and supportive of a peaceful death. To identify patient needs using the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) Synergy Model. To delegate, coordinate and manage all aspects of nursing care provided to the patient, their family and our community in a timely and cost-effective manner. To deliver patient care in collaboration with the patient, their family and all members of the health care team and with the knowledge of a licensed physician, psychologist, podiatrist, and/or dentist. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required or should be obtained within 30 days of employment. Depending on the unit/department, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required.
