The Vice President of Global Marketing (CMO) leads The North Face’s global marketing organization and is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). In this role, you will shape and influence the overall brand marketing strategy, including vision, purpose, positioning, brand essence, business model, and long-term growth priorities. You will define and lead a globally aligned brand marketing strategy that drives brand heat, consumer demand, and sustainable growth across regions, channels, and consumer segments. You are responsible for the global orchestration of all marketing efforts, including, but not limited to: brand, creative, social media & influencer, public relations, and sports marketing programs. You will ensure a consistent and compelling global brand appearance while enabling regional teams to execute with local relevance. You will lead and inspire a global team of marketing professionals, in partnership with the regional marketing teams, to create one unified, global brand marketing strategy that with influence regional execution to drive demand creation and achieve our financial objectives. You will report to the Global Brand President and serve as a key strategic partner to senior leadership. Define and lead a clear, differentiated global brand marketing strategy grounded in consumer insight, cultural relevance, and performance outcomes Ensure consistent brand storytelling across all regions, channels, and touchpoints Partner closely with regional marketing leaders (AMER, EMEA, APAC) to translate global strategy into locally relevant plans Establish clear ways of working, governance, and decision-making frameworks that enable speed, alignment, and accountability across global and regional teams Balance centralized direction with regional empowerment to unlock growth in international markets Build omni-channel marketing strategies and create seamless consumer journeys with DTC and membership at the center of an “always-on” Leverage AI, consumer insights, analytics, and emerging technologies to continuously improve marketing effectiveness and ROI Advance TNF’s digital transformation by embedding data, AI, and performance measurement into global marketing strategies Ensure The North Face continues to lead globally across both performance and lifestyle categories Own the budget management and allocation, Marketing Return on Investment (MROI) effectiveness and efficiency, investment management. Continuously evaluate performance and reprioritize efforts based on market conditions and business needs Build, lead, and inspire a diverse, high-performing global marketing team Strengthen the marketing leadership bench and succession pipelines across the global team Foster a culture of inclusion, creativity, accountability, and continuous development What do you need to succeed? We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 15 years of progressive marketing leadership experience in a global, consumer-facing organization. The foundational skills you will need in this position are: 10 years in a senior executive role, leading a global, highly qualified, results-oriented marketing team Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred Proven success in building and executing global brand strategies that drive measurable growth and brand equity Superior understanding of consumer behavior, with a track record of using those insights to develop differentiated, winning strategies Deep experience partnering with regional teams to scale globally while executing locally Strong understanding of the global apparel, footwear, or related consumer industries Demonstrated ability to lead and adapt through change, transformation, and organizational complexity while maintaining business focus Significant experience in international markets, with the ability to navigate diverse cultures and lead a global team Additional skills that are preferred. Skilled at balancing global consistency with regional flexibility and autonomy Strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of how marketing drives business performance Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across product, merchandising, regional, and commercial teams Uses data and analytics to inform decisions and continuously optimize performance Strong track record of developing senior leaders and building diverse, high-performing teams Creates clarity, accountability, and empowerment across a global organization Ability to build processes, governance, and operating models that enable speed and consistency across global teams Curious, forward-thinking, and comfortable leading through ambiguity and change Champions new ideas, emerging technologies, and test-and-learn approaches Location requirement: Denver, CO Hiring Range: $303,264.00 USD - $379,080.00 USD annually Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
