Job Title: Anesthesiologist Location: Houma, LA area Job Description: Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Anesthesiologist to join our esteemed hospital system in the Houma, LA area. Participate in preoperative discussions and interdisciplinary rounds to review patient status, discuss anesthetic considerations, and address any concerns or special considerations. Provide consultation and expertise on pain management techniques, regional anesthesia, and sedation protocols as needed for procedural sedation and pain control. Demonstrate proficiency in managing anesthesia-related emergencies, including airway management, cardiovascular instability, and adverse drug reactions, in accordance with established protocols and guidelines. Qualifications: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school. Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology. Active medical license in the state of Louisiana, with eligibility for hospital privileges. Completion of an accredited residency program in Anesthesiology. Experience supervising and working collaboratively with CRNAs in a team-based anesthesia care model. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic surgical environment. Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice in anesthesia care. Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and provide coverage for emergent and urgent surgical cases as needed. Compensation and Benefits: Competitive base salary of $400,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
