You will: The Charge Nurse is a registered nurse who works in coordination with nursing leadership. The Charge Nurse implements unit specific strategies as well as colleague specific practice remediation that results in achieving specific clinical quality and patient safety outcomes. This role also collaborates with the Chief Nursing Officer on clinical development (employee relations, individual behaviors, physician relationships, etc.) and is the clinical support for the department when the Chief Nursing Officer is unavailable, along with other Nursing leadership. How you'll contribute A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role: Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient Performs timely and accurate QI assessments What we're looking for Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a degree from an accredited nursing program. Additional requirements include: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, BSN, or Diploma) Current RN licensure in the State of New Jersey Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required ACLS preferred; CRRN preferred but not required Minimum six (6) months of acute care or med/surg experience preferred Strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and rehabilitation-focused mindset Schedule: 3x12, Nights (7p-7a), rotating weekends Why join us We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
