Location of this position is flexible within PG&E service territory and will requires travel to incident sites and other locations throughout PG&E’s service territory (approximately 10-20% of the time) to coordinate investigations, meetings, and site visits. Prepares and submits summary of investigation, including identifying corrective actions and gaining consensus with senior and executive leadership to mitigate risk. Identifies and summarizes compliance risk concerns, including forecasting potential Notices of Violation (NOVs) or equivalent. Prepares and submits responses to investigations, NOVs, or equivalent. Designs data analysis to achieve business objectives, process data, analyze data, write clear and concise data findings and tailor communications to specific audiences. Manages major and complex investigations and data extract/analysis, ensuring data accuracy. Manages extracting data and transferring the data from databases to various analysts to support operational analysis efforts. Analyzes data using various advanced statistical tools to develop reports, summaries, and trends. Demonstrates and utilizes broad expertise in data processing and data analysis and applies this knowledge to a number of different issues. Acts as team lead and provides direction to less experienced employees. Project manages investigations, including building consensus with multiple senior leaders to stay on schedule. Position Summary: The Senior Manager of Electric NERC Compliance provides strategic leadership for NERC compliance by guiding mitigation planning, shaping risk-based decisions, aligning cross-functional partners, and influencing policy and regulatory strategy across WECC, FERC and CAISO. It also leads organizational execution by building strong internal controls, driving key initiatives, monitoring business KPIs and indicators, and developing high-performing teams to strengthen compliance outcomes and enterprise readiness. Oversight of annual gap analysis; identifies gaps between compliance requirements and guidance documentation. Oversight of investigations into compliance issues with NERCwith a focus on O&P standard family; provides strategic direction regarding areas of NERC compliance in common with CPUC, OEIS, and CAISO. Supports development of compliance narratives and RSAW documentation; oversight of WECC/FERC audits; provides input into FERC/NERC policy as it pertains to development of new and/or revised NERC Reliability Standards.
