Manage and coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, services, and new equipment installation. Ensure all maintenance activities and facility operations comply with food safety standards like Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and HACCP. Participate in internal and external audits to ensure all maintenance records and procedures meet regulatory standards. Manage capital projects related to facility upgrades, equipment installation, and process improvements, including bidding, budgeting, and project timelines. Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives. such as Lean Manufacturing and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), to boost efficiency and reduce costs. Desired qualifications and skills Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or industrial) or a related technical field is often preferred. Many roles also consider equivalent experience or technical certifications. Experience Position requires 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with significant experience in a food manufacturing environment. Several years of prior management or supervisory experience is also standard. Technical expertise: Candidate should possess strong technical knowledge in areas such as PLCs, electrical systems (including 480V 3-phase), mechanical systems, and troubleshooting. Regulatory knowledge: In-depth knowledge of food safety and occupational safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMPs, OSHA, FDA) is essential.
