Overview: Develop and implement policies and programs for high risk/cost medications, to optimize safety, efficacy, regulatory compliance, report metrics and provide education to healthcare providers. To participate in the quality initiatives, performance improvement, accreditation readiness, academic programs, clinical research, and interdisciplinary activities. Serve as a liaison among the multiple disciplines, collaborating with providers, nurses, ancillary services, quality, accreditation, legal/compliance and executive leadership team members to promote optimal therapeutics and patient care. Qualifications: Required Education: Pharm D. degree (Doctor of Pharmacy). Specific course work: Doctorate of Pharmacy Preferred Education: Pharm.D , PGY1 residency training and PGY2 in area of specialty Necessary Skills: 1. Attention to detail and ability to distinguish drug products. 2. Fine motor coordination and manual dexterity. 3. Computer skills and accuracy in calculations. 4. Excellent communication and customer service skills. 5.
