Senior Project Manager

Senior Project Manager Sun Construction & Facility Services, Inc. Longmont, CO | Full-Time, Salaried/Exempt Build what matters, with people who have your back Since 1985, Sun Construction has built a reputation as the general contractor Front Range clients call when a project is too technically demanding for a typical commercial builder — advanced manufacturing facilities, laboratories, and mission-critical space for various government agencies, some of the largest companies in the world and several universities. We're one of the few GCs in our market with large in-house self-perform crews and our own millwork manufacturing division (Sun Architectural Millwork), which means our Project Managers get to run work most competitors have to sub out. We're growing — our pipeline supports a very healthy growth trajectory, with more $20M projects on the horizon. We need Senior Project Managers who want to grow with that, not just hold a title. Just as important to us: we're a family-owned company that means it when we say people come first. That shows up in how we build schedules, how we support our people outside of work, and in giving our PMs real flexibility to manage their week so they can show up strong and still have a life outside of it. What you'll do Lead projects end-to-end — from preconstruction handoff through closeout — owning schedule, budget, and quality Build and maintain client relationships that generate repeat and referral business Manage the Master Schedule Evaluate and manage subcontracts, purchase orders, and project accounting Develop and mentor your project team, including Project Engineers, Field Engineers and Superintendents Maintain a strong, visible presence on your sites Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, and design teams Safety at Sun isn't a poster in the trailer — it's built into how our teams work every day. We carry one of the best EMR ratings in the industry, and we back that up with ongoing safety training and continuing education for every level of our field and project teams, not just a once-a-year checkbox. When you run a project for us, you're not choosing between hitting your schedule and keeping your crews safe — we've built our culture so those two things go together. What you bring 10 years of experience managing commercial and industrial construction projects; experience on projects in the $5MM–$20MM range preferred. Four-year degree in construction management or related field preferred Strong scheduling and estimating background Sharp communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license; must pass a background check and drug screen Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $146,000–$153,000, based on experience Annual performance bonus expectation ranging 6–18% of base salary — for most Senior PMs, that puts total compensation in the $155,000–$181,000 range 4 weeks of PTO, which begins accruing immediately — no waiting period Company truck and gas card 401(k) with company match Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance Short-term disability coverage A word on schedule Construction runs on deadlines, and this role carries real ownership — most weeks run a bit longer than 40 hours, especially at key project milestones. What we can offer in return is flexibility in how you manage your time day to day, a team that respects your life outside of work, and a culture that won't ask you to constantly sacrifice one for the other. Sun Construction & Facility Services, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
