Job Description Job Description General Job Summary: Reporting to the Property Manager, the Maintenance Specialist will support the maintenance, repairs, upkeep and appearance of the camp buildings, grounds, vehicles, and equipment and will support housekeeping as needed and for day-off coverage for housekeeping staff at Camp Seneca Lake, located in Penn Yan, NY. This position will d iagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul the fleet’s semi-truck tractors and trailers, and maintain and repair various types of diesel engines within the fleet. Duties and Responsibilities Maintain proficiency in the diagnostics and repair of all assigned equipment. Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery. Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition. Adjust and reline brakes, align wheels, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment. Attach test instruments to equipment and read dials and gauges to diagnose malfunctions. Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices.
