Our hours of operations are from 8am-4:3pm Monday through Friday and will reach out to the therapist as needed to fill open position due to time off, sickness, leave of absence, etc The Radiation Therapist delivers radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. The Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Interventional Cardiologist for diagnostic and interventional procedures in roles that include scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating. Job Description Summary: Marion Cancer Center is hiring a casual (as needed), day shift Radiation Therapist. Located on the campus of Marion General Hospital in Marion, Ohio, this is a Monday-Friday opportunity in a newer facility with state-of-the-art equipment. This smaller office environment allows the Radiation Therapist time to spend with patients and build a rapport that shows you care. There are no weekends or holidays. The Radiation Therapist delivers radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. Prepares patients for a course of Radiation Therapy inclusive of simulation, dose calculations and acquiring of treatment parameters. Responsibilities And Duties: 35% Administers Radiation Therapy treatments on a daily basis. 20% Maintains daily record of treatment, inclusive of daily dosages and calculations and other necessary treatment records. 5% Performs simulations, acquires treatment parameters, patient contours and dose calculations. 10% Therapists who are scheduled to work 80 hours per pay, may be required to be on-call for weekends and holidays on a rotating basis. 10% Maintains patient schedules for In-Patients and Out-Patients communicates frequently with families and hospital personnel to maintain schedule coordination and accommodate patients as best as possible. 10% Monitors patient Condition and progress on a daily basis. i.e., patient weighs, skin care, reaction, etc. . 5% Assists Radiation Oncologist in performance of Brachytherapy procedures. Oversees and directs clinical activities of Radiation Therapy Technology students. Provides clinical insight to Radiologic Technology students, nursing students, etc. as needed. 5% Participates in Department Clinical QA activities, new patient conference, tumor board and QRM. As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties.
